26 It is Cecil’s Birthday

Read and copy the story :

It was the birthday of a baby donkey named Cecil but when he woke up, he
found nobody around him. Neither his mother, nor his father, nor his elder

brothers and sisters were there in the barn. He felt very sad. He went out in

the field, and it was also deserted. There were no farm animals. “What

happened, nobody remembers my birthday,” said Cecil sadly. Eventually,

after searching for everybody for some time, he sat down in the shade of a
tree and started weeping. Just then, he heard a loud cry. “Happy birthday,

Cecil!” It was the loving voice of his mother. His parents, his elder brothers

and sisters, and all other farm animals came out from a dense bush and

surrounded Cecil. “Thank you, everyone, ”said Cecil with joy. That day, all the

farm animals celebrated baby Cecil’s birthday with great fun and gaiety.
