Do you know that zero was invented in India? Earlier, Babylonians used
space between numbers to indicate zero. It created a lot of confusion. It was
the Indian astronomer and mathematician, Aryabhatta who used ‘zero’ as a
digit. It also formed the basis of the Place Value System. This helped to make
complex calculations and writing big numbers easy.
